The reason why im writing this review is because i have my son playing for Chiefs but next year he will be going to High School and hearing parents not wanting their kids going to Mar Vista i definately dont want my son going to Mar Vista. Plus all the sexual harassment there was last year just makes think.
I hated this school. Half of my teachers would teach in Spanish, then if they had time would teach it in English. So didn't learn too much while attending this school.
This school sucks the teachers never tried to help or they never tried to even teach
i wish i could put 0 stars i was in class at ibcs and we were almost constantly on lockdown. they even had a bomb threat.
This is for Mar Vista High School Varsity Football Coach, how can the coach call himself COACH when number 6 is running the ball so good. Number six gets long runs and the coach decides to pull him out of running back. Ever since he pulled number six out, Mar Vista hasn’t scored a touch down. In defense number 10 and 6 should be the middle linebackers, both were stopping everything. This last 2 games against sweetwater and Chula Vista the middle linebackers weren’t stopping anything instead they were being dragged and ran all over them. How embarrassing for a coach to have talented players on his team and not recognize it . There are a couple of kids that came out on PPR and still they are not good enough for the coach..
If I could give Mar Vista zero stars, I would. This is absolutely the worst school you could send your children too. The administration and counselors are the least productive and helpful people you'll ever meet. If you ask for any sort of special treatment, such as a schedule change, they will try to make your life difficult and call you "a spoiled rich, white kid". They are also extremely condescending, to both students and parents. Mar Vista sent out an incorrect official transcript to my universities and jeopardized my chances of getting into a good college. Some of the teachers are just as bad, telling freshman they can't take higher level classes because they're underclassmen, even if they have cleared prerequisites. Besides this, the campus is a disaster and has almost no security, students jump fences as they please. Mar Vista is possibly one of the worst schools in California.
